Love the Earth Guided Meditation
Listen to this guided meditation, Love the Earth
Welcome to this meditation with the intention of loving the
Earth.
The Earth is alive and in need of love. You can relate to it as
a living being with a soul. Allow your relationship with the Earth to reflect
love, compassion, and kindness.
One way to love the Earth is by keeping it in your heart
during the meditation. By practicing meditation with the soul of the planet in your
heart, you can trigger a healing energy that can love the Earth back to health.
To start, find a comfortable position. Sitting or lying down.
And do your best to make sure you won’t be disturbed.
When you are ready, gently close your eyes, and let yourself
take a full deep breath.
Give yourself permission to relax and witness your breath
coming in and coming out.
Notice how your belly
rises and falls.
Next, as your breath deepens, let’s imagine a person, a memory,
or any situations that helps you bring forth feelings of love and kindness. For
example, you might have a pet and thinking
about it warms up your heart. Or you have loving memory of someone who has been
very kind to you. Whatever peaceful scenario evokes feelings of love and
kindness, let it happen.
As you are embracing these good emotions, let your mind and
body settle in a loving and peaceful state.
Take your time and see if you can notice any pleasant sensations
in your heart space. You might notice feelings of calmness, openness, or warmth
in your chest area. Or you might experience pleasant bubbling or tingling sensations
somewhere in your body. Let yourself focus on any pleasant bodily experiences
that are coming up.
It’s ok if you don’t notice any uplifting sensations. Simply
allow what is happening be part of your experience without any judgment. Your
intention to invoke feelings of peace and love is good enough.
As you are arriving in a loving and peaceful state of being,
imagine the Earth in your heart space, right in the center of your chest. Take
your time and see it with your mind’s eye.
You might imagine the Earth as a beautiful blue marble in the
center of your heart surrounded by feelings of love and compassion.
Let’s imagine this for a few minutes.
Once again become aware of your breathing, and your intention
of giving back to the Earth.
Breathing with the intention of love toward the Earth can add
loving energy to the web of universal connectivity and increase your
participation in creating balance within the universe.
As this practice coming to an end, I invite you to join me by
repeating a few affirmations for the purpose of caring for the planet.
Feel free to place your palms on your heart and say these
affirmations out loud or repeat them silently.
Let’s began:
I love the Earth, and the Earth loves me.
May the Earth be safe and protected from harm.
May everyone treat the Earth with kindness and compassion.
Thank you, Mother Earth, for all you have given me, and I am grateful to you.
Now bring yourself back into the room and give yourself
permission to feel good for doing this practice.
When you are ready gently open your eyes.
